Editing datapoints

Edited Datapoints are stored in different ways depending on the type of channel it is executed on.

Scenario

The edited datapoint's version is overwritten in place

Continuous

A new version with the current datetime is created

Bulk edit vs single edit

Users are able to either edit single datapoints or edit a collection of datapoints through applying a multiplication factor.

It is possible to edit datapoints of non-source channels from the platform.

1. Go to your datasource and scroll to the chart.
2. On the top right corner of that section, click ‘Edit Data’
3. Click on the datapoint you want to edit in the chart
4. Scroll down and fill in the new timeseries value on the bottom right
5. Click apply
6. Repeat steps 3 -5 until all datapoints you want to edit have been changed
7. Click ‘Review Changes’ on the bottom right
8. Double check the values are what you desire, add a reason for editing and click save

Trigger flow

Users are also able to trigger a flow on the edited data for applying custom actions.
